I waited overnight inside DCA on July 16th, 2005. Slept on a cement bench right near the “Schmoozies” smoothie shop in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.

When I got inside the park, I was relatively near the front of the guest line, and so they packed me into an area about 50 feet southwest of the Partners statue. My view was admittedly not great, and I don’t recall much from the actual ceremony.

But I was there.
