I was sitting in an exterior smoking area outside the ballroom where I work. Adjacent to me, was a trashcan with a modified top that contains an ashtray.

A woman walks past pushing a stroller. Presumably, she is a Mother. After moving completely past me, she u-turns and asks, “Excuse me, do you happen to have a cigarette?”

I don’t smoke, so no, I don’t have one. Ergo, I respond accordingly.

She then proceeds to move to the ashtray, declares “I hate doing this, but I just need a cigarette so bad,” pulls out a used cigarette butt, re-lights it, puts it to her lips and smokes it.

I then held back vomit as I moved to a computer with Tumblr as soon as possible.
